Ravenstone PTA - Information
Welcome
As a parent at Ravenstone - You are automatically a member of our thriving Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and your involvement is key!
The PTA is a voluntary organisation composed of parents, teachers and school staff. We exist to support the school by raising funds to enhance our children’s experience at Ravenstone and hold events for parents and children which are great fun and bring us together as a community.
How can I get involved?
There are many ways to get involved. Please don’t wait to be asked, or feel put off if you don’t know anyone. It’s a good way to meet other parents, and to find out what’s going on at school. You could:
Come along to a meeting – there are two per term, am and pm. All parents are welcome. Look for the date of the next one here
Volunteer to help at an event – we always need people to help at events, whether it’s making cakes, manning a stall or sweeping the floor.
And when you’re ready…you might like to organise your own event: we relish new ideas and would love to hear yours! During the last academic year, one parent ran a Girls Pamper Night; another a Bollywood Night and yet another a Rugby & Real Ale event.
Each September the PTA holds an Annual General Meeting when members of the committee and specialist helpers are voted in. Nominate yourself or a friend for a role on the PTA by submitting your nominations to the PTA chair.
Events are communicated via the school noticeboards in both playgrounds and via book bag flyers in your child’s bag.
