Year 3 MF Debate Animation Film Summer 2011

Children from Mr Friday's Year 3 class (2010-2011) have created a film that demonstrates their skills with persuasive writing and debating. The motion of the debate is: girls are better than boys - discuss. In groups, the children researched and wrote arguments for and against the motion. Then they used a range of ICT skills, from animation to digital filming, to create a contribution to the whole project. Enjoy the debate!

Year 3 TVB: The Great Debaters 2010-2011

Cross curricular learning is always something we strive for here at Ravenstone. It allows the children to make meaningful 'connections' between the various skills and concepts they have acquired through their learning. Here's a little film that we've made where the children have worked as a group to create a series of vignettes using animation, persuasive writing, script writing, drama, live and borrowed film footage, transitions, music, and sound effects. It incorporates their own research and learning gained through a range of different units and topic areas covered in Year 3 this year. Never underestimate the little ones! Enjoy...
