Meet our new friends
On Monday, we found a strange box in the playground. It turned out to be two animals that had escaped from a zoo in Australia. We decided to keep them and look after them.
There is a girl turtle called Shelly and a boy crocodile called Spike. Shelly is very polite and kind and always sits and listens. Spike is fun but he can get a bit silly. Shelly often has to remind Spike about the Golden Rules.
We look forward to looking after our new friends. Each weekend, one person from the class can take them home and share lots of exciting adventures together.
Class Poem
This week, we have been talking about our families. We read books about 'My Mum' and 'My Dad' and as a class, we wrote a poem about our Dad's. We hope you like it.
My Dad
My Dad thinks I'm funny
He wears a suit
My Dad has tusks
He turns me into an aeroplane
My Dad tickles me
He has black eyes
My Dad loves to sleep and he snores like a pig
He plays everything with me
My Dad hops like a rabbit
He plays Snakes and Ladders
My Dad does not have any hair
He sometimes chases me and when he catches me he turns me upside-down
My Dad is grumpy when I wake him up
He loves it when I walk on his tummy
My Dad loves watching football
My Dad loves watching rugby
My Dad loves watching TV
He makes me laugh all the time
My Dad loves to cuddle me
AND
I love to cuddle him
